A child has been seriously injured at a school in Swindon this afternoon (Tuesday).
Ambulance crews were called to the scene at Seven Fields Primary School, in Penhill, at around 2pm.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed on site as medics provided treatment to the youngster – who is said to have broken bones in an incident.
In a statement, a school staff member told parents in a message: “Due to an ongoing situation on the school field. All children will be released from the school from the front of the building today. Thank you”.
By 3.15pm, the helicopter had left to return to base and the patient was transferred to hospital.
