A car left the road and flipped onto its roof in a single-vehicle crash near Chippenham.
Police officers and the ambulance service were called to the incident on the A350 slip-road for Lacock at around 4.30pm this afternoon.
The small car veered off the main road across grass and sliproad before overturning through a hedge – it came to rest on its roof in a farmer’s crop field.
The driver of a child passenger self-extricated from the vehicle.
A child casualty was taken to the ambulance for assessment, but he isn’t believed to have suffered serious injuries in the dramatic collision.
There were no traffic delays in the area and the sliproad remained open throughout.
