An elderly couple were rushed to hospital after a car ploughed into a house in Salisbury.
Emergency services were called to reports of the road traffic collision in Woodbury Lane, off the A338 Downton Road, shortly after 6pm on Monday (25 September).
The road filled with 999 vehicles following the incident – which saw a car hit front of a house.
Before it was boarded up, a hole in the building exposed the living room, according to a local.
The driver and passenger, a man and woman both aged in their 80s, were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries aren’t thought to be life-changing.
Nobody else was injured in the incident, it’s understood.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that it sent three crews to the scene from Salisbury and Wilton stations.
“No rescues were required so firefighters only assisted with scene safety”, a spokesperson said.
