A woman critically injured in a crash on the A3102 has been named in a fundraiser.
999 crews responded to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision in Tockenham, near Royal Wootton Bassett, on Friday morning (5 July).
The incident involved a white Renault Kangoo van, a Ford Mondeo and a Kia Sportage.
The driver of the van, 30-year-old Melissa Currant from Calne, sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital for urgent care.
A work colleague at GB Electrical & Building Services, where she works as an administrator, has launched a GoFundMe to provide support.
Liam Wiggins wants the money to go towards her bills – which she won’t be able to pay while receiving treatment and her employer doesn’t provide sick pay.
On GoFundMe, he wrote: “Hi everyone, as you may or may not be aware, our colleague and friend, Melissa, was involved in a serious road collision and is currently in hospital with severe injuries.
“We are yet to find out the long term recovery period, so have created this page to provide support for her recovery and help to cover her financial expenses which include her rent, bills, salary and general living expenses.
“We appreciate that everyone’s living expenses are sky high currently so anything that can be donated is a massive help.
“If you are unable to donate, then sharing the fund raiser far and wide is much appreciated.”
