Police have found the man involved in an incident at a Calne school on Thursday (6 February).
Officers were called to reports of a ‘suspicious’ man approaching a pupil near Kingsbury Green Academy – sparking concerns for the safety of local children.
The school issued a warning letter to parents, advising students to walk to and from school in in groups, and avoid dark routes.
However, police have since traced the man involved in the incident and are “satisfied” that there was “no criminal wrongdoing”.
In a post on social media, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “This has already been addressed and the person has been traced.
“We can confirm that there was no criminal wrongdoing and are satisfied that, having heard all accounts, it was a well-meaning report.
“We are contacting all involved to update them of our action.”
