A busy route in Wiltshire is closed as 999 crews attend a serious crash.

Emergency services were called to the A36 at Standerwick at around 4.30pm today (Tuesday).

Wiltshire Police say they were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision.

It’s believed that the road has been closed in both directions between Beckington and Warminster Services.

A force spokesperson said: “The A36 at Standerwick is closed in both directions following a two vehicle road traffic collision.

“It is likely to be closed for some time. Please find alternative routes.”
