A bus has been damaged in a dramatic crash on a junction in Swindon town centre.
Emergency services were called to Faringdon Road shortly before 9pm yesterday (Wednesday, 30 October) following reports of a road traffic collision.
The incident, which happened on the Fansby Street junction, involved a taxi and a Swindon Bus Company bus – though it’s not clear which service.
There were several passengers on board at the time – none of which are believed to have sustained any injuries.
The side-on impact of the collision caused the taxi, a small people carrier-style vehicle, to spin around and face the wrong way.
The route was blocked while 999 crews attended the scene, but reopened to motorists at around 9.30pm when the bus was moved into Fansby Street.
