A boy has been arrested after a school was closed over a ‘threatening email’.
Police were called to Wyvern St Edmund’s School in Laverstock, Salisbury, following receipt of the concerning communication this morning (Wednesday).
The secondary school was closed and officers carried out searches of the premises.
Further enquires led officers to arrest a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of communicating false information.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The youngster is currently in police custody and there is not thought to be any ongoing threat to pupils or staff at the school.
“Members of the public will notice an increased police presence at the school tomorrow where officers will be conducting reassurance patrols.”
