The body of a missing Calne man has been found in water, Wiltshire Police say.
Officers have been searching for 82-year-old Robert after he was reported missing on Sunday (28 July).
He had not been seen or spoken to since he visited Tesco in Calne on Friday afternoon (26 July).
Wiltshire Search and Rescue volunteers were deployed in the area, and following searches, his body was located in water in High Penn.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We can confirm a body has been found in the search for missing Calne man Robert.
“Robert, 82, was reported missing yesterday (28/7) having not been seen or heard from since Friday.
“Sadly, this morning (29/7), a body was located in water in High Penn, Calne.
“Whilst formal identification has not yet taken place, Robert’s family have been updated regarding the latest development and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
