A Bassett girl who died in a horror crash has been named as a fundraiser is launched.
16-year-old Toya Jefferies tragically passed away following a road traffic collision in rural Wiltshire late on Thursday evening (29 August).
The incident happened on an unnamed road between Bushton and Hilmarton, and involved a single vehicle – a red Renault Clio – at around 9.45pm.
Now, a GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for the family. The organiser hopes it will “take some of the pressure and worry away” from her family as they grieve their loss.
It reads: “Toya was a young beautiful girl that was taken way before her time.
“She was loved by many & the family would love nothing more than to give her the best goodbye she deserves, so I’d like to try and help them give her that without having to worry about the cost.
“If you could just spare a couple of pounds or even a share to get it out there that would be massively appreciated.”
The fundraiser launched 22 hours ago, and at the time of publishing has received donations of nearly £4,000.
