An air ambulance landed for a serious crash in the Melksham countryside today (Sunday).
999 crews rushed to reports of a traffic collision in Bollands Hill, near Seend, at around 3.30pm.
Two people sustained injuries and were treated by paramedics, including a critical care team from Great Western Air Ambulance – which landed in a field metres from the scene.
The road is currently closed to both motorists and pedestrians as emergency service deal with the incident.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that Bollands Hill near Seend Cleeve is currently closed in both directions following a serious road traffic collision.
“The road is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future. Please find alternate routes.”
