UPDATE: Two men airlifted to hospital after head-on crash near Swindon
An air ambulance has landed for a serious crash on a route in Wiltshire.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision near Pavenhill, west of Purton, at around 3pm this afternoon (Monday).
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is on scene alongside other 999 crews.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “A road closure is currently in place on the Braydon Road and Pavenhill crossroads (B4696) and Pavenhill and Hoggs Lane crossroads in Purton following a serious collision which occurred shortly before 3pm today.
“Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route while the incident is dealt with.”
