Air ambulance medics are attending an incident involving a ‘child stuck in an electric bicycle’.
Emergency services were called to Plaum’s Pit, off Cheney Manor Road, at around 2.15pm today (Thursday).
It’s understood a female, believed to be a child, has managed to get her leg caught in the front wheel of a bicycle – which is reportedly electric-powered.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) has one crew from Westlea in attendance. Firefighters are working to free the patient from the vehicle.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed nearby to assist a local ambulance crew already on scene.
Pedestrians walking around the lake are being told to use alternative routes a medics treat the girl – who is said to be seriously injured.
A DWFRS spokesperson confirmed that fighters are “assisting our ambulance colleagues with the release of a patient” in the Kiln Lane area.
The incident was ongoing at 3pm.
