The A419 is closed southbound as emergency services attend a crash.
The incident happened close to the junction for Spine Road and the Cotswold Water Park at around 5.30pm today (Thursday).
Police, ambulance and the fire service are on scene – with traffic building between Cirencester and Swindon.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We’re currently in attendance at a road traffic collision on the A419 near Down Ampney alongside colleagues from [Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service].
“Drivers are advised to avoid the area where possible.”
The northbound carriageway appears clear of traffic on Google Maps.
