The A350 in Chippenham is closed as firefighters battle a vehicle fire.
Emergency services were called to the busy route northbound near Junction 17 of the M4 at around 3.45pm this afternoon (Tuesday).
A vehicle was reported to be well alight, with fire crews racing to scene.
The road is currently blocked between the Kington St Michael junction and the motorway junction.
Police are also in attendance – keeping the road closed while the flames are tackled.
UPDATE 5.15PM: Police have opened one lane past the scene, with traffic delays. Recovery is likely to take place in due course.
