An air ambulance has landed in Swindon after a man was reportedly stabbed at a house.
Emergency services were called to an property in Seymour Road, Walcot, at around 8.30am this morning (Monday).
Around seven police units were parked at the scene, alongside ambulances and a critical care car from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.
The charity’s yellow and green helicopter also touched down on the playing field outside Lainesmead Primary School in Eastern Avenue, with medics spotted running across Queens Drive to attend a casualty.
It’s understood a man sustained stab wounds within a residential home, and was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.
The address has been declared a crime scene, with PCSOs guarding it. It’s likely forensic work will be carried out later today.
A man who helped the wounded victim told of how he believes the knife hit an artery. Officers also swabbed his hands for evidence, before he was allowed on his way.
