Police have made a murder arrest after a man died on the doorstep of a house in Swindon.
The victim, aged in his 20s, was found with serious injuries outside a property in Manchester Road shortly after 5am this morning (Wednesday).
Despite medics attempts to save his life, he was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later – with an investigation into the death launched.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and has been in custody for most of the day as detectives question him over the incident.
Police continue to appeal for information, and a crime scene remains in place. Efforts to identify and inform the deceased man’s next of kin are ongoing.

“This is a serious incident which has sadly resulted in a man losing his life”, Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker said.
He continued: “An investigation is ongoing and we are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances that led to this man’s death.
“We are asking members of the public to help by sharing any information they may have in relation to this.
“We would especially like to hear from a male, who was on an electric bike, who initially approached officers to make them aware of the incident but then left the scene without leaving his details.
“We appreciate the concern the public will have, given the recent terrorism arrest in the area, however it’s important to stress that there is no information to suggest that this incident is linked.”

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has any information about the circumstances surrounding the incident to get in touch.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam or CCTV footage taken overnight.
