UPDATE: Probe launched as man, 20s, dies with serious injuries in Swindon
A busy road in Swindon had been cordoned off by police amid a ‘serious incident’.
Emergency services were called to Manchester Road, in the town centre, early this morning (Wednesday).
Officers appear to have used two first aid kits at the scene, ahead of ambulance crews arriving.
There is police tape across the door of the shared house previously raided by counter-terror officers following the arrest of a suspect in May.
There’s nothing else — at this stage — to suggest this incident is related.
The road is closed is between Rosebery Street and County Road. Manchester Road is open up until the police cordon.
Officers erected a forensic tent at the scene shortly after 9am. Forensics are expected to attend in due course.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious incident in Manchester Road.
“The road is closed and is likely to remain closed for several hours.”
