An elderly man has died in the car park of Chippenham Community Hopsital.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11am this morning (Monday).
Car Park 2 was blocked by police as ambulance crews provided urgent care to a man, aged in his 80s, who reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.
Despite the best efforts of 999 crews, he was pronounced dead shortly after midday.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that officers attended the “sudden death of a man in his 80s”.
The force said there are “no suspicious circumstances and our thoughts are with his family”.
Officers remained on scene with an ambulance crew three hours later, at 2pm.
