Critical care medics from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance have treated a man stabbed in a ‘murder attempt’ in the Cotswolds.
Emergency services were scrambled after a knife attack in the village of Mickleton, near Chipping Campden, on Saturday afternoon (17 May).
A man, aged in his 20s, suffered stab wounds inside a property – and the suspect stole his car, a Vauxhall Astra.
Both Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance and Midlands Air Ambulance were tasked, landing near to the scene at around 4.30pm.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital Coventry, where he received treatment. He has since been discharged and is expected to recover.
The National Police Air Service (NPAS) were also sent to the incident, circling the village for the suspect and the stolen vehicle – which has since not been found.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone with information about the incident and who has not yet spoken to police.
