A Wiltshire woman has been sentenced for a four-month campaign of harassment.

Sharon Hayter sent her ex-partner abusive text messages and malicious voicemails between March and August last year, Salisbury Magistrates’ Court heard.

The 43-year-old mother even admitted attending the man’s home address in Tisbury on one occasion and made threats to kill him.

On 1 May, she was handed a 12-month community order. She must complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity with the probation service.

Hayter of The Styles, Bishopstone, near Salisbury, must also complete 12 days of mental health treatment.

A 12-month restraining order was also put in place, prohibiting Hayter from contacting the victim directly or indirectly except through solicitors in relation to legal proceedings.

Additionally, Hayter was fined £80 and must pay court costs of £199.
