A Dalmatian’s been put down after being hit by a car in Amesbury at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash involving a black Hyundai Tucson, which happened on Lyndhurst Road at around 10.30am on Sunday 15 April.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “The vehicle was damaged as a result and sadly, the dog – a Dalmatian – had to be put down due to the injuries sustained.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area who may have witnessed the incident or who saw the vehicle, or the dog, prior to the collision. Please call police on 101.”
