Firefighters are working to extinguish a 50 tonne mound of burning manure this afternoon.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Wharf Farm on Wharf Road at around 1.30pm today, to deal with the blaze that could be seen from as far as junction 15 on the M4.

Two fire crews and a water carrier at at the scene.

It’s not believed that any of the horses on the livery were affected by the fire.
