UPDATE: Another stabbing: Detectives launch knife attack probe in Swindon

A major Swindon route has been cordoned off as a crime scene following a serious incident.

Police taped off Queens Drive in both directions at before 7.30am this morning (Saturday).

The busy main road is blocked between the Magic Roundabout and the Drakes Way junction.

The crime scene is across both carriageways, with officers examining the road surface within the area.

The nature of the suspected crime is unknown at present, but it’s not believed to be a traffic incident.

The route is expected to remain closed for several hours.
