Emergency services are dealing with a serious crash on the A4 near Marlborough.

The main route has been closed in both directions between Beckhampton and Marlborough whilst 999 crews work at the scene this morning (4 November).

Wiltshire Police say the closure will be in place for “some time”.

A force spokesperson said: “We are currently dealing with a two vehicle collision on the A4 between Beckhampton and Marlborough.

“Colleagues from the fire and ambulance services are at the scene.

“As a result, the road has been closed and diversions are in place.

“It is likely that the closure will be in place for some time so please avoid the area.”
