A Swindon man is due to appear in court today charged with wounding with intent.

Gerald Lee, of The Circle, Pinehurst, is accused of inflicting serious, life-threatening or life-changing injuries upon another man on Thursday (25 February).

The 56-year-old will appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning, where the case will be heard for the first time before being adjourned to a crown court.

Section 18 wounding with intent, also known as grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

UPDATE 10.30AM: Lee appeared in court this morning, and entered no plea. No bail application was made and magistrates remanded him in custody to attend Swindon Crown Court on 26 March.
