Searches in the vicinity of a missing woman’s home in Swindon have been scaled back as her family fear she may have traveled out of Wiltshire following her disappearance on Tuesday.

It has been more than 48 hours since 56-year-old Tina Davis left her house in Fry Close, Rushey Platt, wearing fluffy pink jacket and carrying a pink sports direct bag, CCTV has confirmed.

Her family say she didn’t take her car, mobile phone or purse with her.

On Wednesday afternoon, specialist water rescue volunteers took to the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal after fears were raised that Tina could have entered the water, but the search didn’t turn up anything.

Around 30 Wiltshire Search and Rescue, supported by lowland search volunteers from Oxfordshire and Berkshire, have been involved in the operation, with a muster area set up in a local pub car park, The Runner – just 150 metres away from the home where she disappeared.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “She’s described as white, of medium build, 5ft 3′ tall with blonde hair.

“We would urge either Tina or anyone who has seen her, to contact police immediately. If you have information please call Wiltshire Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.”
