Firefighters have tackled a major blaze at a scrap yard near Chippenham overnight.
Emergency services were called to MJ Church in Allington, off the A4 near Bumpers Farm Roundabout, after a fire broke out on Friday evening (6 November).
At around 8pm, there were two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform appliance on scene – with firefighters working to subdue the flames.

Large machinery was utilised by MJ Church operatives to move affected waste, allowing the blaze to be better battled.
It’s understood at least one fire crew remain in attendance this morning (Saturday), but the fire is under control.
At the height of the incident, a huge plume of smoke – lit orange by the flames below – could be seen for miles around.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service yesterday advised people affected by smoke to keep their doors and windows closed.
A local resident told Wiltshire 999s that Wessex Water had warned of potentially low water pressure because fire hydrants are being used.
