A body has been found in a woods in the search for a missing mum from Calne.
Emergency services were called to the tragic scene in woodland on the outskirts of the town at around 10am this morning (Friday 30 October).
The discovery comes after Wiltshire Police launched an urgent search for 31-year-old mum Leah Gallop, who had left her home address in the early hours.

The force expressed serious concerns for her welfare and asked the public for information that could help locate her through a social media appeal.
Wiltshire Police have since confirmed that a body has been found, and although formal identification has not yet taken place, Leah’s family were informed.

A crime scene remains in place as detectives make further enquiries. However, her death is currently thought to be non-suspicious.
Family members were present at the cordon, with several armed police officers in attendance alongside ambulance crews and an ambulance operational commander.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a body has been found in the Calne area this morning.
“Whilst formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of missing Calne woman Leah – who was reported missing this morning – have been informed of this development and are being supported by officers.
“Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
“At this very early stage, enquiries are ongoing but we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”
