A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash on the A350 in Melksham.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision at the junction for the A365 Shurnhold shortly before 8pm on Tuesday evening (6 October).
The incident involved a silver SEAT Ateca and a Lexmoto motorbike with an L-plate.

The motorcyclist, a male, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment.
Police closed the road in both directions between Beanacre and Farmers Roundabout while 999 crews were at the scene.
Cordons were put in place, with the Serious Collision Investigation Team and Forensic Collision Investigation Unit deployed.

However, following an assessment of the casualty’s injuries, they were stood down.
Full-scale forensic probes of crashes are usually only undertaken when a person sustains life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Wiltshire Police by calling 101 and quoting log 320 of 6 October.
