A patient reportedly suffering a medical episode has been rescued from a house via a window in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to an incident in Argyle Street in Gorse Hill at around 1pm this afternoon (Saturday).
A patient, who its claimed had been suffering a medical episode, could not safely be removed from the upstairs of the property via the stairs.
As a result, firefighters used an aerial ladder platform (ALP) appliance to reach the first-floor window.
They were then put on a stretcher and lifted into the ALP, before being brought down to the ground and taken to hospital in a waiting ambulance.
The road was closed while 999 crews attended the scene. It had reopened by around 3pm.
