A driver has flipped their car in a dramatic crash in Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to London Road shortly before 3pm today (Friday).
A Citroen C3 Aircross overturned outside Wiltshire Tyre & Autocentre.
Firefighters worked to stabilise the vehicle, which was on its side, and release a casualty.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said that two crews from Chippenham attended the scene and “found one car on its side and one person trapped inside the vehicle”.
Adding: “Crews used stabilisation equipment and assisted the casualty from the vehicle. Our stop was in at 3:35pm.”
It’s not clear how the collision occurred, or whether any other vehicles were involved.
Paramedics took one patient to an ambulance on a stretcher. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
At the time, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “London Road in Chippenham is currently blocked due to a collision which happened at approximately 2.50pm.
“The incident is likely to cause delays so please avoid the area whilst the scene is cleared. Thank you.”
