Police have stepped up patrols after a ‘creepy’ man ‘exposed his phallus’ to a woman at a nature spot in Swindon.

The victim was sat in her vehicle in the car park of Shaw Forest Park at around 5pm on 25 August when the incident happened.

Despite it being broad daylight and there being many children around, the man was reportedly hiding in the trees and peeking out at her occasionally.

The man then came out of the trees and stood next to her car – allegedly rubbing his penis with his hand through his trousers.

She took a number of photographs of the suspect before driving away. While leaving the car park, it’s claimed he took his penis out of his trousers.

The victim doesn’t wish to report the incident to the police, but asked Wiltshire 999s to highlight her encounter to warn others.

The location has previously been dubbed a ‘dogging hotspot’, with the woodland listed on several dogging sites.

Wiltshire Police, having been contacted by Wiltshire 999s about the woman’s experience, said it would “increase our patrols in the area over the coming weeks”.

The force urged people who have witnessed inappropriate sexual behaviour to report it to them immediately.

Call 999 if the crime is in progress or there is a risk to a person’s safety. Alternatively, incidents can be reported via 101 or the online reporting tool.

Swindon Borough Council, which is responsible for the park, did not provide a statement.
