A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed at Swindon Rugby Club.
Emergency services were called to reports of a knife attack having taken place off Greenbridge Road shortly before 4pm on Tuesday afternoon (9 June).
A man, aged in his 20s, sustained stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and will recover from his injuries.
Police erected a cordon and forensics combed the area for evidence into the evening.
Swindon Rugby Club confirmed that while the incident took place on their site, it was not linked to the club.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Swindon yesterday afternoon (09/06).
“At around 3.55pm, we received a report that a man in his 20s had been stabbed at the rugby club in Greenbridge Road.
“He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries and has since been discharged.
“A scene was subsequently set up at the rugby club to allow for enquiries to take place and has since been lifted.
“We are keen for anybody who witnessed the incident or any altercation to contact us.
