The M4 near Swindon has been closed after a ‘serious crash’, Wiltshire Police say.
Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 14 at around 2.30pm today (Thursday).
The incident is understood to have involved a motorcyclist. Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was tasked, but it was stood down en route.
A police spokesperson said: “Please be aware that the M4 eastbound between junctions 15 and 14 is currently closed due to a serious collision.
“Please find alternate routes and allow extra time for journeys.”
Traffic cameras show significant tailbacks.
