Forensics are examining two bloody crime scenes after an attack in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to The Holbeins in Grange Park following a serious assault at around 10.45pm on Sunday evening (19 April).
A man, aged in his 30s, was found to have sustained head injuries and was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment for his wounds.

A trail of blood stretched around 100 metres between a property in Holbein Square and another in Sudeley Way, with a pool of blood also on the doorstep.
Three crime scene investigators attended to photograph and examine both locations today (Monday) – and were present for approximately five hours.

A 53-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the violent attack.
Wiltshire Police confirmed confirmed that the suspect, who is being held in custody on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, is known to the victim.

Detectives from Swindon CID carried out door-to-door enquiries in the street as they sought relevant CCTV footage and possible witnesses.
The force said that both crime scenes have since been lifted, and officers have left the area.
