A woman who suffered facial injuries has been rushed to hospital by police following an incident in Corsham town centre.
Officers were engaging with local residents at the Martingate shopping centre with the mobile police station earlier today (Friday).
An elderly woman fell over on the pavement nearby, sustaining wounds to her face.
They provided emergency first aid before rushing the casualty to the Minor Injuries Unit at Chippenham Community Hospital for further care.
The officers, DC Golledge, PC Pierce and PCSO Redmond, later returned to Martingate – where they continued their engagement with shoppers.
