A teenage girl remains in hospital nearly two weeks after a serious crash on the A350 near Trowbridge late at night.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision between Yarnbrook Roundabout and the West Ashton Crossroads at around 11.50pm on 20 March.
Two cars impacted head-on, with eyewitnesses claiming one of the drivers was racing and on the wrong side of the road when the smash occured.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance critical care medics attended the scene in a rapid response vehicle, working alongside ambulance crews on scene.
A teenage girl, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, sustained serious injuries. She remains in hospital for treatment today (Thursday) – two weeks on.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She’s been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
In a statement, a spokesperson Wiltshire Police said: “We are keen to hear from anyone driving that route who recalls seeing cars driving in a manner they believe to be dangerous.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage of the vehicles driving dangerously, such as reckless overtaking or speeding.
