A Calne man who claims to be a caveman has been arrested after making shocking murder and rape threats in a post on social media.
The suspect, who has set up camp in the town’s Castlefields Park, announced he was “completely able and content to commit murder”.
In the since-deleted post on Thursday (26 March) titled “global peedophile revolution”, he stated that he would “rape your body after you’re dead”.
He also mentioned raping entire families, and keeping a “lare of dead babies”.
Further statements too graphic to publish were also included, along with an invite to police and “peedo worriers” to confront him about his comments.
It’s believed the post came after Wiltshire Police officers served a Community Protection Warning to the man over concerns raised by members of the public regarding his behaviour in Castlefields Park.
Calne PCSO Mark Cook said: “Our parks and open spaces should be safe and welcoming for everyone, especially for women and girls.
“When behaviour causes others to feel uncomfortable or discourages them from using these spaces, we will take appropriate action.”
Marden Vale CE Academy also sent a warning letter to parents in recent weeks, warning them about reported incidents in the popular country park.
On Friday (27 March), officers arrested the suspect in connection with the social media post.
A force spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a concerning social media post that is currently circulating, after it was brought to our attention by one of our schools.
“Today (27/03), an arrest has been made in connection with this matter.”
