A 14-year-old rapist is in custody after allegedly breaching his bail conditions.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to rape and assault by penetration at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 11 February.
The offences took place in Swindon and involved the same victim – a teenage female.
He was released from custody on bail after making admissions to the serious crimes, but was ordered to abided by strict conditions.
One of those conditions, namely not to leave his address unless accompanied by his mother or father, was allegedly breached on 15 March.
Wiltshire Police arrested the boy. He has since been charged with the offence, and was remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).
Victims of sexual crimes have the right to lifelong anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to their identification.
