A lorry driver has been arrested after flipping their vehicle in a dramatic crash on the A303 early on Saturday morning (21 February).
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the major route just east of Mere, in south west Wiltshire, at around 7am.
The incident involved an articulated lorry, which overturned after hitting nearside crash barriers. Debris was strewn across the carriageway.

The driver was freed from the cab via the sky light, and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
They were subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving and remained in police custody on Saturday afternoon.
National Highways closed the road in both directions for vehicle recovery and barrier repair work – reopening at around 3.15pm.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We have arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving following a road traffic collision involving a heavy goods vehicle on the A303 east of Mere.
“An articulated lorry has come to rest on its side, blocking both lanes.
“The road is likely to be closed for a number of hours before the vehicle is recovered.
“There were no reported serious injuries but the driver was initially taken to hospital as a precaution. He is currently in police custody.”
