A car overturned after a driver lost control on a frozen road near Calne.
Emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Ratford Hill in Bremhill Lane, Ratford, shortly after 5pm on Monday (5 January).
The driver, a man, was trapped inside a white Skoda Fabia – which flipped onto its side.
A passing motorist stopped at the scene, pulling him from the wreckage moments later.
“The poor man was shaken up after I helped pull him out”, she said. The woman added that she believes the icy roads caused the collision.
Fire crews from Calne and Chippenham raced to the incident, but on their arrival the man was free from the vehicle. Firefighters instead worked to make the scene safe.
South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that one ambulance was sent to the scene.
Wiltshire 999s understands that paramedics checked over the man, who had only very minor injuries and following an on-scene discharge, they took him home.
Wiltshire Police said that there were no serious injuries and no arrests.
