Salisbury Cathedral School has thanked police and staff at a hotel for helping their driver and pupils after one of their buses crashed.
The branded minibus went backwards through a hedge in The Stones Hotel car park – coming to rest on the busy A345 – this morning (Friday).
Wiltshire Police were called to the scene as traffic built up past the scene. Motorists were directed past the incident in stop-go fashion.
In a statement, a school spokesperson said: “We would like to acknowledge the accident involving a Salisbury Cathedral School minibus on the A345 outside The Stones Hotel this morning.
“We are pleased to confirm that everyone involved is safe, well, and unharmed.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Wiltshire Police and to the team at The Stones Hotel for their swift support and for looking after our pupils and our minibus driver with such kindness.”
