A Chippenham man could be jailed over his stash of child abuse images.
31-year-old Lewis Walker was caught with 38 indecent photographs of youngsters.
The defendant, of Bakehouse Close, pleaded guilty to the two charges when he appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (10 December).
It was heard that 16 of the vile images were graded category A – showing the most serious abuse, including penetrative sexual activity.
22 other photos were graded category B – featuring non-penetrative sexual activity.
The catalogue abhorrent material was downloaded by Walker between May and June 2024.
The case was deemed too serious for the magistrates’ court, with the defendant’s sentencing hearing to be held at Salisbury Crown Court.
He was released on bail until 9 January. Walker must register as a sex offender within 72 hours; the length of the registration will be determined at sentencing.
