A Wiltshire Police car has been involved in head-on crash on a notorious junction.
Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A361 Trowbridge Road in Seend at around 7.40pm on Tuesday (25 November).
The incident involved a Ford Kuga police vehicle and a Ford Fusion, being driven by a member of the public. The cars impacted head-on, it’s understood.
It happened on a notorious crossroads connecting Bollands Hill and Bell Hill. The junction claims many vehicles in regular crashes.
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said it dispatched an ambulance and an operations officer to the scene. It’s understood nobody was conveyed to hospital.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the police car was not responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision.
The force also said that the driver of the Fusion sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been disclosed. Police closed the road for more than two hours, with it reopening at 10pm.
