A ‘gentle giant’ killed in a bike crash has been named as his family pay tribute to him.
Emergency services were called to the A36 Wilton Road, Salisbury, on Sunday (16 November) following a crash involving a Kawasaki ZX motorcycle and a Skoda Enyaq.
The car had been turning out of the Quidhampton junction onto the A36 when the collision – with 26-year-old Liam Rowe’s bike – occurred.
The carer, who was riding the motorcycle towards Wilton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Liam’s family have today paid tribute, describing him as “a gentle giant with a heart of gold”.
In a statement, they said: “Liam enjoyed his music and loved singing. He was a carer who was very good with his clients.
“He loved going out with his dad on their motorbike rides and he liked spending time with his family and friends.
“Liam was a big kid when it came to Christmas. He absolutely adored the family cats and any other animals he came in contact with.
“The family are heartbroken. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. His family want to be given their privacy to grieve.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597, quoting log number 103 of 16 November, or email [email protected].
