Police are stepping up patrols in Wiltshire village following reports of anti-social behaviour in recent weeks.
A house in Aldbourne has been targeted in a raw egg attack and there have been reports of children shining laser torches into residential properties.
Wiltshire Police say the use of laser torches is particularly concerning as they can cause serious injury to the human eye.
Residents have been urged to monitor their children’s behaviour, especially during the evening, and to report any suspicious activity or information that could help identify those responsible.
In a letter to locals, a spokesperson for the force wrote: “We have been made aware of some ASB occurrences within the village.
“The victims have reported these incidents to the local neighbourhoods policing team who are taking the reports very seriously.
“Police will actively be stopping and searching any suspicious persons seen in the locations of these incidents during the evenings to reassure the community.
“Some of these police patrols will be in unmarked vehicles so please do not be alarmed.”
Anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour or feeling threatened should call 999 immediately and avoid confronting the individuals involved.
