A 15-year-old girl has been arrested after she and her friend climbed onto a supermarket roof.
Police officers responded to a 999 call from a member of the public reporting the children on the roof of Asda Walmart in north Swindon at around 7.20pm yesterday evening.
One of the two girls, aged 14, came down from the roof quickly, and was collected by her mother.
The second girl, aged 15, remained on the roof until just before 9pm. When she came down, she was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and wasting police time.
She’s since been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
