A young woman has been injured falling off her bicycle in a Wiltshire village.

Emergency services were called to the B4040 Sherston Road in Luckington, west of Malmesbury, at about 6pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday, 20 March).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended the incident alongside local ambulance crews. Police officers, including roads policing officers, were also on scene.

An 18-year-old woman sustained injuries falling off her bicycle on the countryside road.

Thankfully, she wasn’t seriously hurt and it’s believed the casualty was conveyed to hospital by land ambulance, with the air ambulance crew retuning to base.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said “paramedics determined that she had not suffered serious injury” and confirmed no other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed in both directions for approximately one hour.
