A young woman is fighting for her life after a crash on the A303 in Wiltshire.
Two air ambulances were scrambled to the serious road traffic collision just west of Winterbourne Stoke shortly before 2pm on Sunday (2 November).
The incident involved five vehicles at the end of the eastbound dual carriageway – where two lanes merge into one.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Thames Valley Air Ambulance were tasked alongside local emergency services.
A woman, aged in her 20s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southampton General Hospital.
Two other people, including a child, sustained minor injuries.
